 | At the beginning of 2008, the number of vessels and cruises to Chan May Port remarkably grew quickly. Within these 3 months of the year, the Port has been accomodating for many cargo-vessels and large cruises such as: Rhasody of the seas, Queen Victoria, Crystal Serenity, etc with the total passengers and crews of 25,500, three times more than that in 2007. |
| Also, in this quarter the cargo vessel to the Port is remarkable higher with many different cargoes: wood chip, white sand, titanium, equipment, etc. Despite of remaining difficulties like berth shortage, handling equipment, Chan May Port’s staffs all is efforting to improve the handling capacity and got achievements in the , such as: Handling 26,000 tons of white within only 56 hours, and the first time combining two derricks to load three 104-tons packets of equipments. | |
