Chan May Port - top of 29 excellent businesses of Thua Thien Hue Province in 2017

    In the morning of 5 Jan, 2018, Chan May Port JSC was honored to be awarded the Tittle "The Enterprise - well overcame obstacles for a sucessful business in 2017” by Peoples Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province.

   On behalf of all staffs of Company, Ms. Ho Hoang Thi - Member of Board of Directors, Deputy General Director attended and received the above award at the meeting hall of Thua Thien Hue Peoples Committee with the trophy and the certificate of the title.

   With the goal in 2017 of sustainable development and the growth of cargo turnover, benefits, profits bringing better income and living conditions for all staffs, strengthen and develop the position of Chan May Port among seaports in Central, Vietnam; The leaders along with all staffs strive to raise responsibility, dynamically overcome difficulties to well implement the development plan and complete the planning target.

   In 2017, cargo throughput reached 2,259,275 tons, equivalent to 108.6% compared with the 2017 plan and increasing 25.6% over the same period in 2016 (1,799,123 tons). Turnover reached 133.6 billion VND, equivalent to 109.3% of the plan. The payment to State budget was estimated at 10 billion VND, equivalent to 149.19% of the plan.

   Total ship arrivals in 2017 were 337 ships (including 213 domestic ships and 124 foreign ships), equivalent to 109.1% compared to arrivals in 2016 (309 ships). The number of cruise ships was 46, increasing 27.8% over 2016 (36 ships), with 129,346 passengers and crews, equivalent to 149.51% compared with 2016 (86,514 passengers and crews).      

   The scale of assets and equity increased, capital adequacy ratio was ensured safety and development. All business aspects, employment and income of employees are guaranteed; Social activities are always concerned; Company’s organizations and unions have been recognized clean and strong.      

   The title of "The Enterprise - well overcame obstacles for a sucessful business in 2017" is a special gift meaningful to the whole leadership and employees of the company on the occasion of the new year 2018.
